Latino Community Reports
for the 128th General Assembly

Introduction
The Latino Community Reports are produced for legislators who have districts with high counts of Latino population based on Census information.  Reports are created for House Representatives who have over 1,500 Latino population count and Senators who have over 5,000 Latinos.  The reports are produced quarterly and presented and distributed at the end of each quarter.  Quarter I Reports, below, focus on demographic information.  Quarter II Reports, below, focus on education.  Furthermore, much of the information included in the reports is extracted from the Commission's online database, OLAnet.

2009

Latino Community Reports
on Education

for the 128th General Assembly

Introduction
The Latino Community Reports on Education provide statewide statistics on Latinos and education, as well as district-level information, and also a summary of the Commission's latest report, which is a compilation of community priorities related to Latinos in education.  The reports were created for High Latino Population (HLP) districts:  for House districts with over 1,500 count Latino population, and for Senate districts over 5,000 count Latino population.  Additional reports were created for House and Senate Leadership, as well as Education committee members (who are not HLP district representatives).  The LCRs will presented to these legislators throughout the month of September and October, along with the Commission's strategic education plan.
