Latino Community Report: Financial Literacy and Access

With nearly 456,000 Latinos residing in our state, it is crucial to recognize the realities and challenges these Ohioans face. In this edition of OCHLA’s Latino Community Report, we explore common barriers to financial access and further examine realities that are unique obstacles to members of our Hispanic/Latino Ohioan community as it pertains to their personal finances and those of their small businesses. This includes a community member’s country of origin, English proficiency, understanding and trust in financial and governmental institutions in this country, and in many cases lower levels of income and education in comparison to their fellow Ohioans.
